In collaboration with Napier City Council, we are pleased to share an update on the Anderson Park Upgrade project. All works undertaken have strictly adhered to Napier City Council’s (NCC) Codes of Practice for land development and building standards. Comprehensive testing and compliance checks have been carried out to ensure alignment with NCC requirements, including full health and safety protocols during the safe removal of asbestos. Environmental compliance has also been a priority, with all activities meeting the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council (HBRC) Code of Practice. A detailed Erosion and Sediment Control Plan was implemented, featuring the installation of a Sediment Retention Pond, silt fencing, and other protective measures to safeguard the surrounding environment.

Key infrastructure developments include service trenching and duct installation to support future utilities, along with pavement construction using subbase, basecourse, and concrete enhanced with oxide for durability and aesthetic appeal. A new stormwater system has been installed in accordance with NCC standards to improve drainage and resilience. The upgrade also includes extensive landscaping works, with grassing and planting designed to enhance the park’s natural beauty and usability. These improvements reflect Napier City Council’s commitment to delivering safe, sustainable, and high-quality public spaces for our community.
