Barton Ave Multi-Unit Development: Civil & Landscaping Delivered
Toa Civil Construction is proud to have completed civil, drainage, and landscaping works for Civco Ltd on the Barton Avenue Multi-Unit Development in Central Napier. This 3,500m² residential infill site now hosts 21 modern units, meeting Napier City Council’s Code of Practice for land development and building standards.
Civil Works
The project involved significant earthworks, including 1,050m³ of cut-to-waste, followed by pavement construction with subbase, basecourse, asphalt, and concrete. Concrete footpaths, kerbs, and edging were installed to create durable and accessible spaces.
Drainage & Water Infrastructure
Toa Civil delivered advanced stormwater systems with detention tanks, mains, leads, and sumps, alongside wastewater systems built to NCC codes. Potable water supply was tested, flushed, and chlorinated to ensure compliance and safety.
Landscaping for Community Living
Our landscaping team transformed outdoor spaces with:
Planting and Mulching for healthy, low-maintenance gardens
Hydroseeded Grass Lawns for lush green areas
Play Area to encourage active outdoor play
Garden Edging for structure and visual appeal
These features create a welcoming environment that blends functionality with aesthetics.
Compliance & Coordination
